The Mambo Club and Other Disasters: Writing as Artmaking
Tony Mendoza, professor of photography and author of numerous acclaimed photo-narrative books will read excerpts from a recently completed autobiographical novel, The Mambo Club and Other Disasters, a coming-of-age story set in Cuba during summer of 1954. Open discussion on writing as artmaking to follow. Excerpts from The Mambo Club... have received two Ohio Arts Council creative writing fellowships.
