January 13 - Women and Portraiture: Gender, Identity and Representation In conjunction with the exhibition Image—Self: Women in Art, Professor Guisela Latorre, Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, will lead a discussion on the role that gender identity plays in the creation of portraiture and self-portraiture.
January 6 - Untitled Please join us at the Gallery for 2011’s first Topics Table, “Untitled.” Everyone is invited to come and talk with Ardine Nelson and the artists of Image–Self (on view at the Hopkins Gallery January 3–19) about the project, the process and the impact it had on the participating artists.
